Voiding cystourethrogram (Xray of bladder function)

Description

Description

An x-ray examination of the bladder and lower urinary tract. A catheter is inserted through the urethra, then the bladder is filled with a water-soluble contrast dye and the catheter is withdrawn. X-rays are then taken as the patient empties the bladder. Can be used in the diagnosis of bladder problems, enlarged prostate and other conditions.
