Tooth extraction (remove tooth)

Description
The removal of a tooth. This procedure can be simple or complex depending on the location and health of the tooth. Teeth are typically removed because of severe cavities, or for orthodontic reasons. Keeping the extraction site clean and following the recommendations of the dentist after the tooth removal will help prevent most complications.

Common Complications
Infection of the site and dry socket (mouth pain after tooth removal) are the most common complications.
