Thigh lift (remove skin and fat from thighs)

Description
A surgical procedure involving removal of the excess skin and fat of the thighs that can occur with aging, weight loss, and loss of skin elasticity. It can improve the appearance of loose, saggy thighs and is often done in conjunction with other procedures, such as, tummy tuck or arm lifts, in patients who have significant weight loss after gastric bypass surgery.

Common Complications
Injury to blood vessels and nerves, and a poor cosmetic result. The surgery can result in post-operative pain, infection or blood clots of the legs (deep vein thrombosis) or lungs (pulmonary embolus). Patients can infrequently have bad reactions to the general anesthesia including allergic reactions and very rarely a heart attack or stroke.
