Stool for clostridium dificile
Description
This test identifies toxins made by the bacteria Clostridium dificile. Clostridium dificile can cause pseudomembranous colitis. Pseudomembranous colitis also called antibiotic associated colitis causes diarrhea and inflammation of the colon and can be very serious if left untreated.
