Rhinoplasty (nose job)

Description
A surgical procedure to reduce excess cartilage and bone in the nose for cosmetic reasons, providing a straighter and/or smaller appearance. The procedure can also help to correct breathing problems associated with the nose.

Common Complications
Poor cosmetic result. The surgery can result in post-operative pain, infection or blood clots of the legs (deep vein thrombosis) or lungs (pulmonary embolus). Patients can infrequently have bad reactions to the general anesthesia including allergic reactions and very rarely a heart attack or stroke.
