Polysomnography (sleep study)

Description
Also called a sleep study. This test measures brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate, breathing rate, eye movements, and leg movements during sleep. The test is performed in the hospital or in a sleep center. The test is done to identify sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy, or problems with REM sleep.
