NIVA (Noninvasive Vascular Assessment)

Description

A NIVA uses sound waves (ultrasound) to look at the blood vessels and determine if there is normal blood flow or if the vessels contain a blood clot (deep vein thrombosis). The most common place to use a NIVA is on the legs, arms and neck.
