Lymph node biopsy

Description
Lymph node biopsy is a test in which a lymph node or a piece of a lymph node is removed for examination under a microscope. Doctors do this test to diagnose cancer or an infection.

Common Complications
Pain and swelling at the biopsy site. Infection and injury to the surrounding tissues can occur.
