Luteinizing hormone (LH)
Description
Luteinizing hormone (LH) is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland. An increase in LH at mid cycle of menses cause the ovary to ovulate. Doctors measure LH to determine the cause of infertility or irregular vaginal bleeding.
