Liposuction (lipoplasty)
Description
A surgical procedure to refine your figure by removing excess fat from specific areas of the body such as the abdomen, love handles, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, arms, chin and neck. It is particularly useful for those areas of the body that are stubborn and will not respond to even strenuous exercise.

Common Complications
Poor cosmetic result, damage to nerves or blood vessels, or injury to internal organs. Surgery can result in post-operative pain, infection or blood clots of the legs (deep vein thrombosis) or lungs (pulmonary embolus). Patients can infrequently have bad reactions to the general anesthesia including allergic reactions and very rarely a heart attack or stroke.
