LASIK (reshape cornea)

Description
A surgical procedure to reshape the cornea for improving visual acuity (ability for one to see). LASIK is the acronym for laser assisted in situ keratomileusis.

Common Complications
Serious complications are rare. The most common are poor vision, dry eyes, eye irritation, scratches of the cornea, night glare and halos, and a rare form of inflammation called Diffuse Lamellar Keratitis (DLK).
