Description
Surgical removal of the uterus through the vagina with laproscopic assistance. A laproscope is a special tube with a camera that is inserted into the abdomen through a small incision in the abdomen.

Common Complications
Injury to intestines, ovaries, bladder, or pelvic vessels. The surgery can result in post-operative pain, infection or blood clots of the legs (deep vein thrombosis) or lungs (pulmonary embolus). Patients can infrequently have bad reactions to the general anesthesia including allergic reactions and very rarely a heart attack or stroke.
