Keratectomy (remove tissue from eye)
Description
A surgical procedure done by an ophthalmologist to remove corneal tissue from the eye. Photorefractive and laser epithelial keratomileusis (LASIK) are two most common types of keratectomy and are performed to permanently improve vision.

Common Complications
Serious complications are rare with poor vision being the most common complication. Infection and pain are also a risk.
