Joint fusion (Arthrodesis)

Description
Joint fusion is surgery that decreases the movement of the joint. It can be done on any joint in the body and is usually performed to improve stability and decrease pain.

Common Complications
Complications include bleeding, infection, blood clots and reactions to anesthesia. Other complications are dependent on the joint being fused.
