Hysterosalpingography

Description
A test performed to determine if the communication from the ovaries through the fallopian tubes (the tubes that connect the ovaries to the uterus) to the uterus is free of obstruction. Contrast dye is injected through the cervix into the uterus and x-rays are taken to ensure the dye reaches the ovaries. The most common reason to perform this test is to determine the causes of infertility.
