Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)

Description
A medical therapy giving hormones (estrogen, progesterone, or both) to postmenopausal women or women who have had their ovaries surgically removed. This is done to help treat symptoms and prevent other conditions by replacing the estrogen no longer produced in the ovaries.

Common Complications
