Grommet Removal (Eardrum tube removal)
Description
A grommet is another name for a tympanoplasty tube. The tubes are usually removed after a year if they do fall out on their own. The tubes are placed to drain fluid from the middle ear.

Common Complications
Damage to the eardrum. All surgery comes with the risk of infection and blood clots. General anesthesia runs the risk of allergic reactions or breathing problems.
