A system to classify cancer cells based on the level of abnormal activity and growth they exhibit when viewed close-up under a microscope. A grading system may provide information on how aggressive a cancer may grow or spread within the body. The systems used to grade tumors are different with each type of cancer and usually affect treatment options.
