Forehead lift (plastic surgery of face)
Description
A surgical procedure that can be performed either endoscopically (using a narrow tube with a light and camera at the end) via several small incisions placed within the hairline or through an incision along the length of the hairline. Both approaches involve the removal of any excess muscle which might be contributing to frown lines.

Common Complications
Inability to move eyebrows, loss of hair, scar formation, and loss of sensation. Any surgery can result in pain, infection or blood clots of the legs (deep vein thrombosis) or lungs (pulmonary embolus). Patients can infrequently have bad reactions to the general anesthesia including allergic reactions and very rarely a heart attack or stroke.
