Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Description
Traditional carpal tunnel surgery requires a 2 inch incision to reach the carpal ligament. With the endoscopic technique one or two 1/2 inch incisions are made and a small camera is inserted into the incision to visualize and cut the carpal ligament causing the constriction and pressure on the median nerve. Typically this techniques allows for faster healing and can be performed under local anesthesia.

Common Complications
Complications include: infection, nerve injury, wrist stiffness, wrist weakness, and chronic pain.
