Description

Surgical repair of a deviated septum is called a septoplasty. The surgery consists of removing, reshaping and repositioning the septum back to the center of the nose. The surgery is performed when the deviated septum causes frequent sinus infections, obstructive breathing, noisy breathing or frequent nosebleeds.
