Cystoscopy with retrograde pyelography

Description
Along with a cystoscopy the provider injects contrast into the tube that connects the bladder to the kidneys (ureter). An x-ray is done enabling a view of the ureters and kidneys. The procedure can detect kidney stones, strictures, cysts, and tumors.

Common Complications
Perforation of the bladder, injury of the ureter, or allergic reaction to the contrast dye. Infection after the procedure.
