CT angiogram of the neck (Xray images of neck)

Description
A computerized tomography (CT) angiogram is an imaging test to see images of the blood vessels of the neck. The test uses a CT scan and the injection of contrast dye. The study can identify blockages, tears and injury to the arteries of the neck.

Common Complications
The contrast can rarely damage the kidneys. Some patients can have allergic reactions to the dye ranging from a rash to life threatening swelling and low blood pressure.
