Cervical spine CT (CAT) without dye

Description
A test using special xrays that provides detail images of the bones and spinal cord. The bones of the neck make up the cervical spine. A CT scan of the cervical spine can identify muscles, nerves, discs, bones, and the spinal cord. This test can identify broken bones, infections, arthritis, cancers, herniated discs, spinal cord injuries, and nerve damage of the neck.

Common Complications
There is a small risk of radiation. This risk is felt to be greater with babies and children.
