The act of administering a vaccine. Vaccines have greatly reduced the incidence of disease. They are especially important for the traveler visiting other countries. Adverse effects of vaccines include: fever, chills, sore injection site, and redness of injection site.

Symptomatic treatment with acetaminophen (Tylenol) and/or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications/NSAIDs (ibuprofen/Motrin or Advil, naproxen/Naprosyn).
