Trichinella Spiralis Infection

The newly hatched larvae penetrate the intestinal wall and travel to muscle, thus completing their life cycle. The infection causes muscle disease, cardiac disease (myocarditis, pericarditis, ischemia), and neurologic disease (encephalopathy).
