Normal Menstruation

Description
A woman's monthly bleeding, also called a period. Menstruation represents the shedding of the lining of the uterus. Menstrual blood flows from the uterus through the cervix, and passes out through the vagina. Most menstrual periods last from three to five days.

Symptoms
Vaginal bleeding, abdominal cramping, bloating.

Tests
A history and physical exam will be performed.

Treatment
