Epidermal Cyst (Sebaceous Skin Cyst)

Description
An epidermal cyst (sebaceous cyst) is a sac of material that looks like cheese. It develops when skin cells deposit keratin under the skin. The bumps are usually painless beneath the skin and movable. They can become inflamed and infected. They are found throughout the body including the scrotum.

Symptoms
Small lump under the skin, painful lump, red lump.

Tests
A history and physical exam will be performed.
Treatment
Warm compresses may resolve the cyst. At times they have to be drained and/or surgically removed.

I suffer from this disease and i am only 18 i get them on my head every now and then and they are very pain full i dont have them removed but i think i should it might be best... But its not something i need to stress about
