Alcohol (Ethanol) Overuse

Description
A physical and mental dependence on alcohol (ethanol), sometimes resulting in chronic disease and the loss of interpersonal, family and work relationships.

Symptoms
Confusion, depression, poor functioning, separation from family.

Tests
A history and physical exam will be performed along with other tests which may include: liver function tests, electrolytes, and a lipase.
Standard Workup
- CBC
- Chem 12
- Lipase
Treatment
